Terms & Conditions of Business
We have prepared these guidelines so customers have a clear understanding of what to expect when contracting our service.
Introduction
We aim to provide a hassle free, professional service which is fast and efficient with the work carried out to the highest standard possible.
Staff must be polite and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
All staff must be fully qualified, fully motivated and take pride in every aspect of the service they deliver.
All equipment used to carry out the work must be safe and fit for purpose.
Zero tolerance will be taken towards drink and drugs.
Each person carrying out work for Special Branch is a qualified, independent self-employed subcontractor. They will effectively be working in agency with Special Branch. Special Branch as the agent will source contracts for the subcontractors and then in turn pay them an agreed sum as remuneration. Each of the subcontractors is thoroughly vetted to ensure that they are fully qualified and that they will carry out work to the highest possible standard in a safe manner. All of the work the subcontractors carry out will be inspected by special branch and feedback will be sought from customers to ensure the standard of work never falls below what is expected.
Special Branch cannot closely supervise each of the subcontractors that is carrying out work for it. Therefore, a certain amount of autonomy must be expected in order to allow the subcontractors to carry out their work effectively. As such, errors which are outside of the control of Special Branch can occur which may cause loss and or damage to property. In these cases, the recourse will be to claim for any losses from the individuals who are carrying out the work rather than Special Branch itself. Special Branch will not be liable for any losses that occur as a consequence of any action by an individual carrying out work on behalf of Special Branch, insofar as Special Branch itself has not been negligent in its actions.
Health and Safety
All work will be carried out to the relevant health and safety legislation, in conjunction with the relevant British standards.
The relevant method statements and risk assessments will be carried out prior to work undertaken if specified by customers or contractors.
Work on the highway will have to be carried out to the relevant legislation if required.
Access
If access is required to neighbouring properties, this will have to be arranged by the customer prior to the work being undertaken. We have no authority to trespass into anybody else’s property.
Insurances
We hold a 5 million pound Public Liability Insurance that can be sent to you prior to work being carried out if requested.
