Our philosophy for producing logs is that they must be sustainably sourced locally produced and lastly solar kiln dried to the correct legal standard to Insure the minimal carbon footprint created from cutting to burning. People have been burning wood for heat for thousands of years but essentially very little has changed. Dry wood burns best. This is also referred to as seasoned wood or kiln dried wood. Wood burns efficiently when it has a moisture content of less than 20%. I personally feel 18% is about perfect, try not to be blinded by science - dry wood is dry wood. Dry wood at the correct moisture content burns clean with less emissions and produces more heat.
